Here’s how the Blue Jays look ahead to next season - https://www.royaly.live/3zYd91Jslasc

The Blue Jays are out: they lost Game 7 of the World Series in the 11th inning. Like the Colorado Rockies, Sacramento A’s, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers and all teams other than the Dodgers, the Blue Jays cannot add a World Series banner for next season. The difference? The Blue Jays, via a fine […]
AI Perplexity “Knows” :) Why the Bluejays lost, sadly…
The Blue Jays Had Multiple Chances to Win But Left 14 Runners Stranded
Hey Jays fans! What a heartbreaking Game 7 – your boys came SO close to bringing the championship home to Canada for the first time since ’93. The Dodgers won 5-4 in 11 innings, but Toronto had at least 4-5 golden opportunities to put this away.usatoday+3
The Missed Opportunities That Hurt
The Blue Jays tied a World Series Game 7 record by leaving 14 runners on base (matching the 1924 Giants) and went just 3-for-17 with runners in scoring position. Here’s what could have changed everything:mlb+1
9th Inning Drama: With bases loaded and one out, Isiah Kiner-Falefa (running for injured Bo Bichette) was thrown out at home on a close play. The killer? He took too conservative a lead at third base – coaches told him to “stay close” to avoid a double play, but that extra step might have won the championship.nypost+1
Multiple Rally Killers: They loaded the bases with two outs in the 2nd, had runners on 1st and 2nd with one out in the 4th, a runner at third with no outs in the 5th, and runners at the corners with one out in the 11th.si+1
What Went Wrong
Three crucial home runs killed them: Max Muncy (8th inning), Miguel Rojas’s game-tying shot in the 9th off closer Jeff Hoffman, and Will Smith’s 11th-inning winner off Shane Bieber. Hoffman was literally two outs from a championship when Rojas took him deep on a hanging slider.usatoday+2
The Jays had a 4-2 lead late and were just 90 feet away from their first title in 32 years multiple times. As one player said through tears: “We grinded so hard… 99 times out of 100 those guys get the job done. This wasn’t our night”.si+1
So close, yet so far. The championship that slipped through their fingers will haunt Toronto for years to come.sbnation+1

I am obviously heartbroken over the Jay's loss, but still proud of their performance in the series. They made the Dodgers work HARD for their victory every step of the way, right up to the last inning. Only six world series games have ever gone into extra innings, and two were in this series.

Ernie Clement pregame reflects on 2025:
"You get to play with 30 of your best friends, and I don't think that happens every year. So in a way, you don't want it to end. But we're just going to enjoy it. It's one last game with my favorite team I've ever been a part of."
