My kid’s #nyc high school went on lockdown for a couple hours this am because of a #gun threat. It turned out okay. Why do we have to live this way.

No communication from city or dept of ed. Or school.

Just terrified messages from my kid.

Kids were locked in their classrooms and hiding under desks for over an hour.

Thanks to council member #GaleBrewer ‘s staff who were able to figure out it was a student gun threat that turned out to be untrue.
