Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360 Lunar Lake laptops coming in February
Samsung is expanding the Galaxy Book5 line of premium thin, light, and powerful laptops with several new models.
In September the company launched the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 convertible laptop with a 16 inch display and an Intel Lunar Lake processor, and now the company says it’ll be joined in February by three new models.
The new Galaxy Book5 Pro with a 16 inch display is basically a clamshell version of the original. It lacks a touchscreen display, S-Pen support, or a 360-degree hinge, but it has the same display, battery, memory and storage options, speakers, and other core features. It’s also a little lighter weight.
Samsung is also introducing an even smaller version of the Galaxy Book5 Pro with a 14 inch display. Despite having a smaller screen, this model still has a 2.8K, 120 Hz OLED screen, but it has a slightly quieter set of speakers and a smaller battery. It’s the lightest-weight laptop in the Galaxy Book5 lineup though, weighing just 2.7 pounds.
I wouldn’t expect either of the new Galaxy Book5 Pro laptops to be cheap: the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 currently sells for $1700, and while the new models may cost a little less than that since they lack touchscreen displays, they’ll most likely be positioned as premium laptops.
Samsung does have one laptop that could be a little more affordable though. The new Galaxy Book5 360 convertible notebook with a 15.6 inch display skimps in a few areas in order to keep the price a little lower. It still has an OLED display, but it’s a 1080p screen with a 60 Hz refresh rate. It still has a Lunar Lake processor, but will only be available with 16GB of RAM. And it has stereo speakers instead of quad speakers.
Samsung Galaxy Book5 360Samsung hasn’t announced pricing for the new laptops yet, but the company says they’ll be available “in select markets including Canda, France, Germany, the UK, and the U.S. starting in February.
