Tatsächlich war es eine Abwegung: #Dino_im oder #gajim

Gajim ist für Windows und Linux verfügbar und ist daher aktuell bei beiden Systemen auf IMDAY geführt. Prinzipiell könnte man aber auch für Linux Dino_im führen.

Hältst du es aktuell für die bessere Wahl?

#xmpp group chats is a total disaster

Today #gajim said "Cannot connect to group chat" Okay, I reconnected, but the name changed to a cryptic shit. Okay, I renamed it back, and it now displays original name (cryptic shit). Yes, cryptic shit in parenthesis. The address became cryptic_shit@myserver instead of original one.

Okay, I added my own implementation of xmpp server to my todo list which contains clients already but I think more and more: do I need xmpp in the first place?

@TheMorpheus Also letzteres Problem hab ich nicht.

#XMPP+#OMEMO funktioniert, und diverse Clients wie @monocles /#monoclesChat & #gajim machen es einfach.

Alternativ gibt's mit @delta / #deltaChat nen exzellenten #Messenger der auf #eMail - Infrastruktur aufsetzt!

#Matrix ist in meiner Erfahrung jetzt noch nicht so pralle und nur dann sinnvoll wenn Leute #SelfHosting umsetzen können oder wollen.

D.h. in Organisationen und Gruppen sinnvoll, aber für #TechIlliterates wohl kaum!

Like I've been in #PGP-encrypted #MailingLists before Matrix and @signalapp were even proposed!

Tive um problema com a criptografia #OMEMO no #XMPP. A mensagem recebida aparece corretamente no #Conversations_im, mas no Dino fica:

> I sent you an OMEMO encrypted message but your client doesn’t seem to support that. Find more information on https://conversations.im/omemo

E no #Gajim fica:

> Esta mensagem foi criptografada com OMEMO, mas não para o seu dispositivo.

Alguém sabe por que isso acontece?

É minha primeira conversa criptografada, sem ser comigo mesmo.

Ich habe es irgendwie geschafft, einen Kontakt zu verbergen. Er ist noch da, denn ich kann ihn nicht hinzufügen ("is already in your contact list")
Weiß jemand, wie ich den Kontakt wieder sichtbar bekomme?

Updated #gajim and all my message window fonts turned huge.

Tried reducing the font size in the Style menu but that also reduces all the system fonts that are in an okay size.
