@massivelyop I am very happy that they've been able to be so successful with their business model. It has made coming and going from the game such an easy decision since there's no sort of friction around subs or benefits from said subs.
If they _really_ want to blow people's minds, they'd make each “expansion" of #GW3 completely standalone like Factions and Nightfall. ;)
@massivelyop I appreciate covering the bases and making sure these kinds of questions are asked. I will say though, the prior two games, which are running for 20+ years now have always just been a box fee. They don't even have some kind of monthly GW+ model that gets you a gem stipend.
I would have been more surprised if #GW3 deviated from this precedent.

Well turns out it's quite fun. So much so I bought all of the expansions and intend to play this long-term when I'm not playing #WoW.
Which is handy as we're getting close to the end of Mythic L'ura progression, and should be done with it in a week or two. After that it's farming for mounts until we have everyone in the raid team covered.
As for #GW2, it's jarring getting my head around the differences, like how the transmog system works (the dye system is amazingly good) for example.
Hit level 20 last night after about 5hrs of playtime, which isn't bad, and the stories so far have been fun.
Endgame is much like #FFXIV, in that it's horizontal, and more about story and transmog collecting rather than a power treadmill like WoW.
I'm definitely going to be enjoying this for a long time, which is good as #GW3 probably won't be released until 2028 or so I imagine...

GW3 takes place in Orr? A bright, vibrant Orr?
What will Director Vloxx try to do? Undo the doom of Orr? Undo the dragons? Unmake the gods? Undo the Cataclysm?
Or is this due to efforts of Trahearne and The Commander?
Interested to see how VoE wraps up and leads into GW3.
EDIT: So it takes place in the past. Maybe Vloxx erases everything, hits the reset button?
