Similarly, I found out that my company is implementing a new BYD policy as part of a security accreditation they're going for. They planning to move things like #Slack and #gSuite to sandboxes (they used the term "profiles") that they control.

While I've been less strict around content-siloing with my phone than I have with my laptop, that's soon going to change. Either their profile-locked apps will work inside of an (secondary, unprivileged) #Android account or my after-hours participation by way of those tools will cease (or, they can issue me a work-specific phone …that will be powered off — or just left on a shelf with its sound muted — outside of work hours).

Side-note: Android accounts are kind of nifty for other things. Say you're traveling and TSA wants to inspect your phone. Vanishingly-few gate-drones understand that, when you're logged in to a secondary account, that there's the possibility that there might be another, "real" account on the device. For the typically casual screening of a TSA checkpoint, it's enough to give the impression that you're a very casual device-user (and, given that I refuse to pay for "flagship" phones, my mid-tier phone already makes it look like I'm a casual device-user).

Interesting and long long long long overdue new integration for #GSuite between the old #GChat feature (now just gmail chat) and #google #meet chat. Meet chats now appear in GChat.

Got turned on at the tail end of my sabbatical and I started getting a flood of message notifications (now muted).

Since it got the flood of messages, I said hello to my team whilst not in the meeting to:
a) see if it got sent to the meeting room without me being in it
b) see if they missed me

It did. They didn’t
