Today I booked a trip with
#Southwest Airlines and it’s clear to me that they’ve joined the dark side. Southwest has been my go-to literally for decades. They were definitely not the nameless, faceless corporate juggernaut that all other airlines were. I was aware that they had started reserved seating, but I didn’t quite grasp the ramifications of this. I was using Rapid Reward points, as I have many times before, but now it turned out that, unless willing to pay an exorbitant amount of points, which I did not have, I’d have to pay for my reserved seats, unless I was okay with being smushed in the way back of the plane by the bathroom. And you have to pay for every leg of your trip individually. So, for my round trip with a plane change, my wife and I had to fork over $228. Shame on you, Southwest, for forgetting who your loyal customers are.
