Oh dear, I got called a moon howler for explaining the #GRRbill doesn’t relate to accessing single-sex spaces, determines prisons nor entitled you to participate in gender-specific sports - then sharing the actual #evidence rather than #scaremongering anecdotes. Whilst explaining sex characteristics; explaining what it means to have a VSC.

I have yet to come across any single individual opposed to the #GRRBill who ticks all of the following:
- Knows what a #GRC does
- Believes #transpeople exist and not #transphobic
- Knows what the #Bill does
- Supports making women-only spaces safer

If you oppose the GRR Bill and believe you fit into the above points, by all means, enlighten us with your reasons? I await with cynical anticipation

Isn't there an issue with a SNP MP telling outright lies about how the #GRRbill, her own party's legislation, would have affected Scottish Prison Service policy on trans prisoners? Joanna Cherry is a KC: are we to suppose she just doesn't know or understand the legislation?

The #GRRBill took over 6 years of work, 32k consult responses, hundreds of amendments; weeks of debate; & only relates to obtaining a GRC

🏳️‍⚧️ Removes degrading medical requirement (Self-ID)
🏳️‍⚧️ Reduces “lived in” requirement from 2 years to 3 months

This was #EmilyThornberry's excuse for not opposing the #Section35.

I get it that as a shadow minister she doesn't want to admit she was whipped and undermine the leadership, but making up some lie that the #GRRBill is some kind of cynical SNP "parliamentary theatre" being done against trans people's wishes and not a serious attempt at reform backed by both trans people and unionist parties in the parliament (including hers) is gaslighting. She should be ashamed of it.
