DFA state machines / decision trees converted to NNs mean they can run on NPUs. Thinking of regex converted to DFAs and then to NNs and wondering how it performs. Maybe very low energy stream processing is possible this way.

And we seem to have come full circle to when we were abusing GL texture blending hardware on Indy workstations to run NNs.
