All kinds of weather happening in the #PNW. We have floods, wind, snow - something for everyone.

NOAA has posted a high wind watch for most of the urban Puget Sound area including Seattle. Possible gusts to 65mph Tuesday night into Wednesday. If you live in this area it would be a good idea to prepare for a power outage.

For details from NOAA, open the map, click inside any red-outlined area and then follow the link to read the forecast discussion. The screenshot text is from the discussion that covers most of western WA.

From time to time I will post the following map link which displays all the current weather watches and warnings. Due to changes at NOAA, the map now works in a slightly different way.

First, here is the part that did not change.

When you open the map and click a colored area then you see a popup that has a link you can click to see the details of the watch or warning. It is fairly common for there to be more than once active watch and/or warning for the spot that you clicked. When that happens then the popup on your screen will show a separate section for each watch/warning and each section has a link for the details.

Now the new part.

When you follow a link then you will see the details for *all* current watches and warning for the spot you clicked. The *first* set of details will be for the type of watch/warning shown in the popup that has the link that you clicked. Hope that makes sense.

#ExtremeHeatWarning - Purple area on the map

The map can display all the current weather watches and warnings.

For details from NOAA open the map, click any colored area, follow the link. Since the spot you clicked might have more than one type of weather watch/warning, scroll down in the popup since each type of watch or warning has its own link for the details.

Wish we could send some Redmond WA weather to cool things down in the hot part of the country. Over next 3 days we will have clouds, showers and a high temp in the low 70s.
