If I get time I might do some analysis of how many posts have been made with the #GEMConference2025 tag over the last few days on each of the main social platforms. My hunch: LinkedIn is most active, but it's still relatively quiet.
So my main question is "why aren't museum educators more active on social media (specifically about museum education)?"
I see deep & varied chat amongst UK maths teachers, but museum ed is all so much tumbleweed. Even the increased posting this week has been from a small handful of notables.
Are Museum educators engaging elsewhere? If so... Where‽
Returning home from #GEMConference2025 and missed my connection due to my first train being delayed, but I can't claim any compensation because I've already got a full refund because the outward journey was delayed.
The British railway system. Second to none.
I've had lots of little conversations about #MathsInMuseums over the last 3 days at #GEMConference2025.
Next up is #MathsConf39 in October, where I'll be delivering a workshop on enriching maths lessons with history content.
