I opened the back door to see if I can tell where they're coming from. Of course, Sam also needed to invstigate.
She sat here for a bit in the direction of the noise. Then decided she needed to respond and started barking at the fireworks.
I think they might be a community display or something west of here.
She's on my couch now paying close attention to the noise as it dies off.

I'm changing couch covers today. Washing machine is tied up with clothes right now, so waiting for that before taking the dirty cover off of the couch. In the meantime, I put the folded clean cover here for when it's time to change it.

First time wearing shoes! She did so good. Almost disappointed she didn’t funny walk but hey, she did it.
After the cut she was biting at the shoes. This will take time to work out, as it did with Leeloo. She’ll be an old pro in no time.

She seems to be doing ok for now. Her bed is still in the wash but the floor and rug are cleaned up. She hasn’t eaten her breakfast, though this is pretty normal for her.
