After walking through the thousands of vermillion gates at Fushimi Inari this morning, we spent the afternoon along the Philosopher’s Path. Ending the night strolling through the historic districts felt like stepping back centuries. I’m completely captivated by the soul of this city.

Unser erstes Ziel heute war der #FushimiInari Taisha Schrein, der für seine Tausenden von Torii-Toren bekannt ist. Gezählt haben wir die nicht, aber einige fingen damit von Start aus an.
Der #Shinto Schrein wurde 794 zu Ehren des Reis-Gottes #Inari gegründet und ist gerade im Anfangs-Bereich sehr gut besucht, später verläuft es sich etwas.

Fushimi

Kyoto – Fushimi Inari: Erst ein Torii, dann noch eins… und irgendwann merkt der Kopf: Das ist kein Durchgang, das ist ein Rhythmus. Tor für Tor, gleiches Orange, anderes Licht – und plötzlich zählt nicht mehr „wie weit“, sondern nur noch „weiter“. Die Stadt bleibt draußen, hier drin läuft man sich leise. Umkehren? Klingt klug.
