First stop/meal on our #FurDU2023 trip is Yatala Pies.

Pies are quite the thing in Australia, and this place was on our way from Brisbane down to the Gold Coast.

Pies were tasty, and the place was absolutely packed.

So one of the first few things I arrange is a rental car to take us from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, which is where #FurDU2023 is at.

I reserved a Peugeot 508 sedan (or similar) on Sixt’s web site mainly because I wanted to test the eccentricity of French cars (e.g., small steering wheel, instrument cluster higher than most cars, etc.).

Instead, there were no Peugeots available, and they upgraded us to a Mercedes GLB 200. With less than 4,000 km on the odometer. It’s essentially brand new!
