Capiti i meccanismi del gioco, ho deciso di fare una run partendo con la scuderia più scarsa e con meno fondi.

Modificato il nome della scuderia grazie ai comodi file .json, e modificate le grafiche dei .psd base presenti nella cartella Mod: ho creato la VB Racing.

Oltre a essere facile modificare i file, gli sviluppatori di #Funselektor hanno anche creato una guida molto chiara.

Released in 2021 for consoles, Art of Rally is a stylish, low-poly, rally game that looks like an arcade game but plays like a sim.

I played the hell out of it on release - on Switch and XBox - managing to get ranked fairly high on most of the tracks and really falling in love with both the game's aesthetic and its sublime handling.

I even bought a custom physical copy from Limited Run games - it comes with a make-your-own cardboard rally car!

But eventually I put it away and moved on to other games. As a result, it was only last week that I found out about some DLC released in Nov 2023. It's Australia (which is where I live), so I jumped on my primary console - now a PS5 - and bought the game and the DLC ($26 for both) and I've spent the weekend driving around the dusty back roads of Australia admiring the little touches like the windmills, kangaroos and emus and falling in love with the driving model all over again.

Voilà, j'ai terminé la campagne solo de ce superbe jeu. Il porte son nom avec fierté, il s'agit bien d'un jeu de vroom vroom mais dont s'échappe une douce poésie visuelle. Et pour ne rien gâcher, le gameplay est agréablement précis et immersif. Une véritable usine à fond d'écran qui se paye le luxe d'être un vrai jeu pour passionné et néophyte de rally.

Une vraie pépite.
