Just watched #MarlonRiggs Tongues Untied(1989) & was so enamored by it I want to recommend it to your #blackhistory lists.
I loved the poetry editing documentaryness heartache resistance solidarity and music (I forget how old #acid is)! Amazing how well something so old yet avant-garde holds up. Reminded me of #FuneralParadeOfRoses (which came out just before #Stonewall ) in some oblique ways.
