📌 40 years of Johnston v Chief Constable of the RUC (222/84)

The #CJEU ruled that sex discrimination linked to protecting public safety must be examined in light of the derogations to equal treatment under #EUlaw. Individuals can rely directly on these rules against State employers. 👮‍♀️
