@krautnapped Like just about anywhere, take the secondary (“back”) roads as much as you can. Probably easier with a paper map so you can tell your gps where you really want to go…. I really like the foothills in the coastal range, either central or Southern California. Of course, you should do the famous places: Yosemite, Big Sur, Death Valley, Mono Lake, etc. Just try to wander a little in between. There’s a lot of variety. Sounds like fun, have a great trip!
