It just occurred to me that Mira Bellwether, the author of the amazing zine "Fucking Trans Women" (2010) was born in the same year as me, 1982, but died 2 years ago, in 2022.

I'm sad to hear that #MiraBellwether has died. I hope that her loved ones will find peace. I hope they know she touched many lives in a wonderful way.

I recently learned of the existence of the zine #FuckingTransWomen, read a little over half of it (I want to finish it sometime), and learned a lot. I was very grateful to have the privilege to read something so informative and so positive about #trans bodies. (1/2)

Give #trans women roses while they r still here. It doesn’t escape me that there will be outpouring of love and money for Mira Bellwether now that she is gone. And yet I know for a fact there were days over the past 6 months where Mira felt alone & that nobody cared she was sick.

There were days when she begged for donations or even just a retweet. Accolades after we die mean nothing. We need to celebrate us while we are still here.
