New guidelines published online by Cancer Care Ontario say the province is lowering its colorectal cancer screening age from 50 to 45 in response to a "notable" increase in younger people diagnosed with the disease.

Today is the fourth anniversary of the surgery I needed for colon cancer. I have a year and a few months left of surveillance before I can throw myself a party, but so far, so good.
#FuckCancer but also our medical system, which wanted to diagnose me with depression 🙄 rather than listen to what was going on before I got to Stage IIIc. I am lucky, because people a decade younger have died of this.
