#Reddit sperrt Nutzer:innen ohne die offizielle App aus, #YouTube beschränkt Videos über Dritt-Apps auf 360p oder macht sie immer wieder inkompatibel, #Google baut seine Suche so um, dass viele Onlinemedien am #SEO-Tropf den Ruin fürchten, Seiten schließen zunehmend abgesicherte Browser aus, weil es ja Bots sein könnten, die alles an Infos für #KI-Training absaugen.

Das ganze #Internet wird immer kaputter als ohnehin schon, weil #BigTech-Firmen mit ihren riesigen zentralen Diensten den scheiß Hals nicht voll bekommt.

Es nervt, aber wir müssen echt an allen Fronten schauen, das wir mehr auf eigenen Beinen stehen und unsere eigene Infrastruktur betreiben. Auch wenn die nicht immer so geil ist, wie der neuste große Klicki-Bunti-Hype. ✊

I have already been thru hell with them over billing, after our account migration was borked. I woke up today with no internet. I checked to see if there was an outage, i did not see one. I just got an email from them about how they are so so sorry about my internet going down without any explanation or ETA. Wtf? Why is this the norm now?

Een nieuwe reCaptcha-verificatiecheck werkt niet op Android-telefoons zonder Google Play Services. Dit betekent dat de check niet zomaar zal werken op custom roms zoals GrapheneOS. Google kondigde de nieuwe reCaptcha-check vorige maand aan, die werkt met een QR-code en fraude met AI-bots tegen moet gaan.

I haven't been printing or designing much as I've been hard at work de-clouding our lives with a kubernettes cluster in my rack.

I've got Home Assistant, Jellyfin, and some personal projects up and running with DNS, Cloudflare, SSL TLS, all managed by K3s.

I am building out a 10TB storage node so I can get Immich setup and migrate off Google Photos.... #plans
