A frosty path to a rising moon and a miky way
🇬🇧 My plan to photograph the rising comet C/2025 R3 in the early morning was thwarted by heavy fog in the east. Instead, I looked south and found the rising moon between the trees.

🇩🇪 Eigentlich wollte ich ja den aufgehenden Kometen C/2025 R3 fotografieren, aber dichter Nebel zog im Osten auf, sodass ich nicht einmal mehr die Sterne gesehen habe. Im Süden ging derweil der Mond auf, sodass ich meine Pläne über Bord warf und ihn zwischen den Bäumen in Verbindung mit der Milchstraße fotografierte.

Did you know that this kind of low-lying mist is often called "radiation fog"? It forms overnight when the ground loses heat, cooling the air just above it until the moisture condenses.

Another walk on the wintery landscape by the sea. Finally, the weather got warmer and the sea ice started moving towards the shoreline, creating layers of ice broken by the waves.

Der Rand ist frei und ich kann in Ufernähe endlich wieder meine Bahnen ziehen.

Wobei - ehrlich gesagt ist das Liegen im Eisloch für mich das Schönste. Das Besondere. Ein Spektakel. Das zieht mich immer wieder in den Bann. Das ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes atemberaubend und krass. Die Eisschollen, die unzerbrechliche Eisdecke mit den Tierspuren auf dem ganzen See, das Knacken und Glucksen. Der See spricht und singt und ich bin mitten drin. Fantastisch.

Doch jetzt kann wieder schwimmen. Das kommt mir natürlich gesamtkörperlich entgegen. *Eislochgeplantsche* hatte ich ja jetzt oft genug (wahrscheinlich für die nächsten zehn Jahre).
