Technically, that makes them unwoven-fabric stars, not paper stars, although the ribbon has a paper-like feel. ⭐️
The 5/8”-wide crimped ribbons work great, and I had very few issues with the 1/2”-wide ribbons in solid colors. The striped ribbons are more difficult to work with. I had no luck at all with the Trans Stripe ribbon. It split a lot and separated into its stripes. I had a better experience with the Rainbow ribbon and got beautiful stars from it. It’s one of my favorites! 🌈
This year, I chose less traditional colors for my German paper stars.
These stars have a long tradition in my family. My grandfather used to make them. Now my sister and I are both making them. For me, they represent light in the darkness, hope, joy, family, and belonging.
