Reading #PhilosophyNow magazine (would recommend) I am reminded that I came up with a model of free will that ‘works’ for me. Based on #SystemsThinking #MinimizingSurprise (#Friston) and #TheBlockUniverse (but if #Minkowski #spacetime thrown in). Want me to share it?

@codebeard I think you can express the tensions you describe in terms of #exploration (epistemic actions, sampling) vs #exploitation (pragmatic actions, harvesting) and by reconstructing hierarchical models, i.e. models where higher-level #predictions function as constraints on lower level models. #Friston et al. have lots on this, although mostly on a quite technical level.
