Something common in a lot of tropical places... fried bananas.. or fried plantains... In my family at has always been the latter, fried plantains.. sometimes server with sour cream and sugar... I like them with sour cream and a savoury dry cheese.. since I can get the traditional cheese I would use (from Chiapas, south Mexico) I use feta.
