Hail Freya, it's Friday! Today we have a special Equinox edition of the #FridayPaganPoll:

Some pagan traditions consider the equinoxes to be 'minor holidays.' In fact, when Gardner was constructing the modern neopagan Wheel of the Year, he had to look far and wide to find ancient pagan traditions for these times. Both Mabon and Ostara have questionable historical attestations (which I am not here to debate). Regardless, they are absolutely pagan holidays now, because I think most of us celebrate them in some way, lets find out!

Do you celebrate today's equinox as part of your pagan practice?

(I'll leave the definition of 'celebrate' up to you.)

Hail Freya, it's Friday! Time for a #FridayPaganPoll:

Today I'm thinking about archetypal gods of war, and how they seem to be common within polytheism and monotheisms. Whether humans are a reflection of the gods, or vice versa, it is evident that war has always been a huge part of the human condition.

Do you worship/work with any deity in their aspect as a god of war?

Hail Freya, it's Friday! I'm back with a #FridayPaganPoll.

Today, I'm contemplating the ethics of cursing children. By "children," I mean teenagers in highschool, ages 15-18. I'm debating with myself as to whether they are old enough to be responsible for their own actions, and therefore old enough for consequences. (Details on specific situation in comments.)

Is it okay to curse teenagers?

There are a lot of modern and folk practices within paganism that involve making food, whether it’s for oneself, others, or an offering to the gods.

In broad terms, how often do you cook or bake things specifically for the purposes of pagan practice?

I've always said that we Pagans are an academic bunch. Our community has a love of history and renewing old traditions, which I think includes the revival of dead languages, let's see:

Do you use any words, phrases, or prayers in dead languages in your pagan practice?

Back in the day it was common to see knives on altars; athame, boline, or sword. Mostly they're used for directing energy, but sometimes for cutting up herbs or carving candles. It seems like blades as tools are falling out of fashion, but that could just be my perception, let's find out!

Do you currently keep a blade of any kind on your altar?

Today I'm wondering how many pagans worship or work with deities/entities from different pantheons, versus staying within one regional system. This is tricky because of synchretism and archetypes, but I'm just looking for a general idea. As always, replies are welcome!
