I did coffee 100% wrongly.
In my 20s, needed but didn’t like, so much cream & sugar.
In 30s-40s, café chains & K-cups multiplied, learned there were some I liked black.
50s, learned to save money with grinder & #FrenchPress …then #Moka pot, then #Espresso machine.
About age 58, learned heart palpitations were caffeine.
Place we buy beans has many choices of origin & roast. But ONE decaf. Fortunately, I like it, but I wish to try others I cannot.

QuasitI've had a cheap French press for about 10 years now. It's not bad, but it has been kind of a pain to clean; when I dump the grounds into the trash, a lot of them stay stuck to the glass. So I have to rinse the press a little, over and over, and dump it into the trash again and again.
But recently at a church bazaar I found a used Williams-Sonoma French press for $8. Unlike my old French press, it has a dual layer of glass, separated by air; kind of like a thermos, in that the outer surface does not get hot. The press part itself is also much finer quality, and includes a grid that filters out grounds when you pour the coffee out.
But the thing that's particularly cool is that when I dump the grounds out of it, they pretty much all just go straight into the trash. Unlike the old press, I don't have to rinse the thing out again and again. One dump into the trash, and then I can just rinse it in the sink and clean it.
It's just too bad that a new one would probably cost $50 or $100!
