After work Wednesday, Wee embarked on a mini-adventure to a place we've been meaning to visit: Gasworks Brewing in Seattle.

Nestled right on the edge of Lake Union, Gasworks Brewing offers some truly spectacular views. We snagged a couple of lounge chairs on the bulkhead at the edge of the water with a view of downtown Seattle....

Home made Beef stroganoff pairs well with a #fremontBrewing Dark Star oatmeal #stout

Smooth and roasty, chocolate and coffee body with a moderate bitter finish.

Last had this one in a hot tub boat on the bay in Seattle in 2023!

Threats of #snowmaggedon25 make legs like this bird a thought

Let’s push those thoughts aside with #fremontBrewing Hazelnut & Vanilla barrel-aged cuvée blend #stout

Cream head, big nutty nose, medium bodied with lots of nuttiness and vanilla. Easy drinking for an 11.8%er

So it’s STILL not #internationalStoutDay? What can we do…

#fremontBrewing Hazelnut & Vanilla barrel-aged cuvée

Lots of nuttiness, a solid blend of sweet, vanilla, and hazelnut with a roasty finish.

Today was a travel day as I flew from the East Coast back home to Central Oregon, so naturally that means travel beers! I started with Cloud Cruiser IPA from #FremontBrewing on the plane (both planes!) along with a pint of Blind Pig IPA from #RussianRiverBrewing at the San Francisco airport, and finishing the journey with a #FreshHop beer from #WildRideBrewing in Redmond—Storyteller Fresh Hop Pale Ale. Long trip but a good day! Cheers! 🍻

#seafairfestival Weekend + #fremontbrewing Seafair Pilsner = Pure Magic 🍻💥

It’s the last Seafair weekend, and what better way to soak it all in than with a cold, crisp Seafair Pilsner in hand while the Blue Angels tear through the sky! ✈️💙

What are you doing this #Seafair #Weekend? What did you think of the beer? Us? Here goes!
.
.
.
On draft, Seafair Pilsner produces a hefty amount of shaving-cream white head, resting on a pale lake of gold. Receding at a quick pace, lacing rests in the glass as a tattered curtain.
Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of honey, cooking herbs, a bit of fresh-cut grass, some floral, and some doughy bread.
Sipping, many of the aromas transfer into the sip, along with notes of Saltine-like cracker, and a bit of sharpness, finishing slightly bitter. Overall, Seafair Pilsner has a mild to medium mouthfeel, some alcoholic warmth, and a lingering slickness that is punctuated by some sharpness.

Braving the first rain-filled day of #Spring, in #Seattle, we visited #fremontbrewing’s taproom to review their latest year-round beer, Head Full Of Dynomite Hazy IPA. If you’re a fan of their over 60 previous editions, this will still taste new to you. (more thoughts in the link).

If you’re a fan of their over 60 previous editions, this will still taste new to you. On draft or in 12-ounce cans, HFOD produces a shaving-cream white head resting on a pool of pale-gold, opaque, haziness. Receding, there remains an antique blanket of lacing inside the glass. Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of dank cannabis, grapefruit citrus, and some tropical passionfruit and mango. Sipping, melon and grapefruit citrus greet us, before peachy stone fruit, mango, tropical pineapple, and a sweet oatmeal finish, followed by a whisper of pine resin. Overall, this year-round edition of Head Full Of Dynomite has a medium to strong mouthfeel, some noticeable alcoholic warmth, and a lingering semi-dryness. #beer #photography #washington

Sitting here on a beautiful morning, we're presently pondering the fate of two breweries in #Seattle - #FremontBrewing and #PikeBrewing. We ponder this because each has their own large-scale production brewery, each has (at least) one taproom, and each has their own portfolio of beers.
The big difference?
Pike Brewing is relatively late, after 25 years, to having a large-scale production brewery.
So, it makes us wonder if the new majority owners will simply sell off the new Pike production brewhouse and instead leverage Fremont's.
Thoughts?
