I woke up around 1am EST this morning and this was the news I saw to start the day. So very sad to see this news as KISS has been one of my favorite bands for the majority of my life.

Ace Frehley has been a magical genius on the guitar in my opinion from day one that I learned about him, which was around the age of 6 or 7 back in the later 70's. He's someone that I always enjoyed listening to, be it his guitar stuff or his actual music with his band.

I remember the first song I ever heard by him, which was always one of his most popular of course, and that was New York Groove. It caught my attention from the moment I heard the first beat and has stuck with me my entire life. In fact, it's on repeat right now for a bit, and then I'll listen to all of his other stuff including all of the Frehley's Comet stuff he did over the years.

We truly lost a real legend yesterday in my opinion but the good news is, his legacy will live on forever in the great music he has provided us for over 50 years!
