A #reactionary #crypto #techbro (but I repeat myself) has self-funded his own unofficial #NoCampaign for the upcoming Australian referendum on the #Indigenous #VoiceToParliament. To that end, he made various online video ads fearing an algorithmically-generated person of colour expressing their concerns about listening to #Aboriginal people when they say they want to be listened to.

Faced with the predictable backlash (and #FreePublicity, who would have thought it?), his response (only slightly translated): "how could you possibly think my ads opposing listening to Indigenous people would depict an Aboriginal person? Don't you realise that I'm targeting people who *don't* want to hear from Aboriginal voices? Why would I pick a fake Aboriginal person to make a #fearmongering claim about people falsely claiming to be Aboriginal? And anyway, I can always tell at a glance with 100% accuracy whether someone is Aboriginal or not, can't everyone?"

I got mentioned, by name, on Megyn Kelly's podcast (2 January, 2022, starting about 01:07:30 to 01:08:45 depending on your podcatcher's ad settings), talking about the Idaho college murders on another podcast (4 Killed For What).

On the one hand, I'm not a huge fan of her style or politics. (Which in no way means I want her silenced; censorship is not the answer... I've just never listened before.) But on the other hand, she appropriately acknowledged me, seemed to like what I'd said elsewhere, and pronounced my name correctly.

I'll take the win.
