Looks like the book dealers rifled through my library-o-free-books on the curb once again, and were thwarted because I had inked out all the ISBN numbers and UPC codes. Yay! (also, suspect I know who is driving around snagging books, someone has ads up all over Craigslist begging for book donations... think they are trying to make a living selling books on eBay or whatnot. Just heard Anthony Fauci give an interview (part of a book tour) at the Free Library. When the host (NPR's Dave Davies) was given a hand signal about minutes to go, I was really shocked! could have kept listening to his stories, observation, and deep humanity for another hour easily.

@koehntopp I still have an Amazon account so I could use an inherited tablet as a media player. Meanwhile, my Kindle library was mainly used for classic books, copyright free, from Project Gutenberg.org which I've duped and now read with fbreader.
Had to rename files to end in "epub" so they'd load.
Also our local public libraries have free-to-borrow newer volumes like Martin Cruz Smith's Arkady Renko series.

Someone made this makeshift, used pallet library near the beach in a road median. Looked like there were several useful things inside. I kind of love its simplicity and beachy vibe.
