FSF announces JShelter browser add-on to combat threats from nonfree JavaScript — Free Software Foundation — Working together for free software

@fsf We need more #FreeSoftware front-ends to so-called "websites." Please fund more #FreeJS development. Thank you.

@serge Perhaps you're right. I understand how you feel that way. On the other hand, I would like to point out the @fsf has in fact listened to me in regards to #FreeJS and #education issues: They actively funded a developer to work on #FreeSoftware #JavaScript workarounds so that I don't need to run proprietary code on my machine to interact with businesses, and they've helped students work with schools to provide free software options for doing work.

The @fsf funded critical #FreeSoftware that nobody else will.

Also, the FSF has given up the expense of an office, so they can do more of this.

Perhaps if I do lose my benefits, I could just use the general free software section of the #Trisquel forum. I guess that will work.

Anyway, that's my point of view. I hope this doesn't start an argument. It's almosst the new year.

@serge web apps are real apps. I won't run Google Meet on my computers, for example. #FreeJS

I had trouble with my #ThinkPad X200 yesterday. It almost froze when I tried using TeePublic and PayPal (nonfree #JavaScript) to buy pins from @dikleyt. I guess online shopping is hard to do now without proprietary software. #FreeSoftware #FreeJS #GNU #Linux
