FreeBSD 14.2 becomes end of life as of October 1st
On December 3rd, 2024, FreeBSD 14.2 was released to add improvements to the existing v14.x version series, including the firmware installation support that comes after the base system installation.
Nine months later, this version of FreeBSD has become out of support as of September 30th. This means that there will be no more bug fixes and security updates that are important to ensure secure operation. The official announcement can be found by pressing the button.

The security team encourages users who are using this FreeBSD version to upgrade to the latest release, which is v14.3 under the releng (release engineering) branch.
