My go-to playlist for when I mow my lawn is the one I put together from the liner notes of the #FreaksAndGeeks DVD set. Right now I’m listening to Steve Martin singing “King Tut” and it’s bringing me right back to my own high school years when I had gotten the song on 45 and listened to it over and over again.

I guess it shouldn’t surprise me then to notice that I have unconsciously adopted one of the bass player’s fills into my own playing. (I’m not nearly as funky TBH.)
