I'm getting through this #NewPipe downtime by listening to music on #bandcamp through the app. I playlisted so many albums that I never got around to listening to because I'm just too absorbed in consuming #YouTube content constantly.
Yes, I know there are forks and other options if I get more desperate, but I'm kind of enjoying rediscovering its functionality outside of an increasingly temperamental YouTube. I never quite got #FramaTube, but I might try streaming #soundcloud through it soon.

so this popped up as #framatube which appears to be part of #PeerTube. but I couldn't "like" the vid w/o signing in
i just posted on yt about the need for liberal media to find a yt alternative, & since coming to Mastodon & learning of peertube, this seems like an obvious choice
so can someone explain to a neophyte why i can watch a video that's on the #fediverse but not like it? must i sign in to every instance i visit?
