On Saturday 9th May, Born Free and more than 500 campaigners joined a rally opposite Parliament, organised by the League Against Cruel Sports and the Time for Change Coalition.

The rally brought together wildlife protection charities (including Born Free, Badger Trust, Four Paws & Humane World for Animals), hunt monitoring organisations, and a large number of passionate wildlife protection activists, from across the country.

The rally was organised to draw attention to the importance of the ongoing government consultation on banning trail hunting and strengthening the Hunting Act. The proposed changes are aimed at preventing the illegal chasing and killing of foxes, deer and hares by packs of hounds

Sinn Féin party has voted to support a ban on #foxhunting in Ireland.

The issue was hotly debated at the party’s Ard Fheis in Belfast last night, with a clear divide on display within the party on the issue.

For years, Sinn Féin has been criticised by its left colleagues in the Dáil for being on the same side of Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil on the issue

“It is time to listen to our young people. It is time to remain relevant," said one member

A fresh push to strengthen fox hunting laws is being welcomed by campaigners and anti-hunting groups.

Labour's pledge to close what they describe as loopholes in the Hunting Act 2004 has drawn praise from the Hunt Saboteurs Association.

Although fox hunting was banned in 2004, campaigners insist that illegal hunting remains widespread

Ross Cordery, Wayne Greggory and James Parish of the Vale of Taunton and Banwell Harriers Hunt have been charged with hunting a wild mammal with dogs - an offence under the Hunting Act 2004.

This prosecution comes after Somerset Hunt Saboteurs‘ drone caught the hunt chasing a fox at Chilton Trinity on 26 November last year

Took my #Meshcore radio out on break this afternoon to a spot on the downward slope behind my office building, facing away from town. Tried my luck. Surprisingly, I got out of the hole and heard from 3 repeaters way over the hill. How is this possible?

WELL, my theory is that I was reflecting off the office building on the next block and catching a great angle. Wow! I hadn't considered that was a thing, but that sort of trick is done in #foxhunting all the time! This gives me ideas.
