There's no room for this. News directors and GMs, and assignment editors need to be forever cognizant of what their crews are enduring, and find ways to minimize this nonsense.

I’m concerned, everyday, for my friends working on field shoots. I’m equally concerned that there is seemingly no good, proactive, plan to protect against such things.
