Day one of the #30inks30days (https://www.inkjournal.com/pages/30-inks-30-days) challenge. I picked up this April Fool's Day ink at Penny Post (https://shoppennypost.com). Here's what I wrote for my sample...

"Wearingeul 'Hope'. This is an April Fools ink that looks like Pandora's Box. But just like the myth, what's left, after opening the box and releasing curses and evil upon mankin[d], is hope.

I had to dip the pen to write this sample because there's only 10mL of ink left in a full sized bottle. I couldn't get the nib covered enough to use the converter and didn't feel like eye dropping it.

just wrote with my sailor 1911 compass after about 5 months and it wrote straightaway, ENDORSE

this is my favorite pen to recommend as a starter pen. it is about $40 and the steel nib is great, takes a cartridge converter and is easy to clean. classic look, lots of colors, and totally unfussy.
