Watching Joe Swash Teens in Care on BBC iPlayer.
10 mins in and I’m already in tears thinking about where my foster children could have ended up and heartbroken that I can’t save all the children.

This message from my foster daughter is possibly the best message we’ve ever received from her.
I’ve never before met such a determined, resilient, hard working and just truly amazing young lady as her.
I have no doubt she will continue on her life path with the same attitude she showed to get to and finish university and will have a huge impact in her chosen career as a social worker.
This is quite simply the best card I have ever received.
We’ve been her family since she was 10, she’s now almost 21, in third year of uni and has secured a job as a social worker starting in July.
She’s also the most amazing, resilient, strongest, determined young woman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Helping our foster son to emotionally decompress after a night in respite care. Sometimes the comedown for him makes me question whether we’re right to use respite care but being a full time foster carer for an emotionally vulnerable child takes it’s toll. Respite helps us to help him.
Can I demand of my siblings that they take interest in my children (as I take interest in their children) even though they are foster-children? Am I crazy wanting that?
I have a father-son relationship with all 3 kids. (They are in their 20’s and from a middle-eastern country)
My siblings let me down big time in this part. Im sad about that. #FosterFamily #kids #siblings #family #familj #PappasKärlek #LoveFromDad
Watching Big Boys Don’t Cry.
It’s a fucking hard watch.
I love my foster son so much. He’s currently sitting next to me asking Siri how many varieties of different fruit and veg there are.
There are over 7500 varieties of apples!
Being a foster child is tough at the best of times, being a foster child at Christmas waiting for a call from birth family that doesn’t come is horrendously difficult.
