samThe #fortnightfridaymusic theme is #forsaken. I was a teenager in the early 2000's. I fell into nu-metal as grunge was well and truly dead by then and the Strokes and the Libertines were still too obscure for the end of the arse of nowhere where I lived. As it was a formative age, I latched on with an obsessiveness only angsty teenagers possess. For a while I listened to terrible music and wore ridiculous clothes. The only band worth remembering from that period is System of a down. This is their big hit.

So polluted they are forsaking the USA and moving back to Australia. This album was written in protest of that polluted air after failed campains to clean it.
