Then the cases started coming in by the dozens, then the hundreds. Soon there were too many to count or ignore. Women delivering mammals, reptiles, fish. All, only, in states where reproductive choice had been banned.

But it didn't come to a head until news broke about the #senator from Florida. His teenage daughter, having gone missing for several weeks, had just birthed a monitor lizard.

Who looked unnervingly like the senator.

Had my first post-op visit with my doctor today. Said it looked good. But still a little too "wet" for Erin to start handling the bandage changes herself. So he wants me back this Thursday.
I have 7 sutures on a 5 inch long incision straight down the bottom of my foot. I can't put ANY weight on it for 6 to 8 weeks. So I'll be in the chair for a bit.
After that, he said he's going to put me into an AFO brace. I'll be in that for a time, then surgery to fix tendons in my foot and calf.
The positive thing was I didn't have to have a picc line because Erin and I couldn't afford to pay for it out of pocket. Being poor for the win!!
