Having spent a day with #Hugo porting my existing template over I’m enjoying it.

Now thinking about how I’ll deploy it. I don’t want to go the CloudFlare Worker / Pages route again, so I’m thinking of deploying via Forgejo action to a bind mount and then mounting that into my caddy container running on the same host.

Let’s see if I can get this to work

And that’s all my private repos deleted from #GitLab… except the blog. That’ll be a larger project since I need to migrate the #CI pipelines. I’ve got #Forgejo and the runner set up, and I’ve already moved most of the CI logic into independent scripts, but it’ll still need time and attention to do that final migration.

On a more positive note: Someone has built a lovely little, simple GIS app that visualizes your or others GitHub star sources across the world with some additional analytics. Pretty, useful. Generally awesome I'd say.

Needs more of that. Maybe adapt to @Codeberg or other @forgejo instances? It's FOSS.

Had to set up some aggressive #fail2ban rules to protect my #Forgejo instance, and _obviously_ had to immediately scrape it for Prometheus metrics so I can have a fancy dashboard. We'll know tomorrow how bad it is!

When I added a Cloudflare network security rule to block all requests to that path, the incoming request volume fell by more than half :|
