Sal Da Vinci era accompagnato da un corpo di ballo e la coreografia rappresentava la preparazione di uno sposo per il matrimonio, poi l'arrivo della sposa. Immancabile il tricolore sul palco di Vienna, celato all'interno dell'abito da sposa. Il cantante napoletano è già qualificato per la finale, ed è stato accolto dalla presentatrice con un: "Buonasera Italia!". 
Da segnalare l'esibizione dell'artista in rappresentanza di Israele, Noam Bettan, che ha cantato "Michelle". COme noto alcuni Paesi hanno boicottato l'Eurofestival proprio per la presenza dello Stato ebraico e anche oggi ci sono state manifestazioni pro Palestina. L'esibizione del cantante israeliano, tuttavia, è stata accolta dall'applauso del palazzetto.
