The Forest King waddles down the trail, humming contentedly to himself, pausing to move a trail marker to point it toward his den.
The Forest King escorts a small rabbit through his kingdom to make sure the foxes don't try anything funny while he delivers eggs.
The foxes get eggs too, so it's all right.
A small family of raccoons darts chaotically from the mouth of the Forest King's den, followed by the Forest King himself. He blinks blearily, shakes a string of colored lights off his back, and pads off looking for a drink.
The Forest King opens one eye. There's a salmon bone stuck in his teeth, and he's covered with a string of colorful bulbs again.
He grunts, tucks his paws behind his head, and goes back to sleep. -.-
A human in a red fur coat crawls into the Forest King's den. He places a large bowl of peanut butter next to the family of raccoons curled up beside his belly and carefully lifts his jaws open to slip a smoked salmon inside.
The human departs as silently as he entered. The Forest King nums in his sleep.
The Forest King slumbers in his den, unaware of the family of raccoons decorating him with the string of lights they found in a tree out in the borderlands. They don't glow anymore, but they're still colorful.
