Recently, I wrote on how Indian state institutions are completely ignorant of #statelessness as a serious policy problem. The judiciary has been passive too, overlooking the gaps in our citizenship laws that create stateless people within our borders.

The #NRC & #ForeignerTribunals in #Assam are proving to be the biggest sources of statelessness in India. These arbitrary and exclusionary processes must stop.
