Canada’s pension plan has invested $1.2 billion in the company that owns and operates the Ruby Pipeline that would supply gas to Kevin O’Leary’s Stratos AI data centre. This would give it an estimated 24.5% stake in the company, which operates 16,000 km of oil and gas pipelines and storage terminals across the United States. Alice Yang, managing director of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board's "Sustainable Energies" group, also sits on the Tallgrass board. Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, during his visit to Interpol’s headquarters in Lyon, met with Secretary General Valdecy Urquiza. “At the center of the cordial meeting was the current international context and the risks to security, police cooperation, the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking,” the Ministry of the Interior explained in a statement. Among the topics discussed: the I-CAN project, which has contributed to bringing the fight against the ‘Ndrangheta and transnational mafias to the center of the international security agenda, the development of the Identity initiative, implemented at the Ministry of the Interior’s urging and aimed at strengthening biometric identification capabilities to prevent the infiltration of terrorists into migration flows, and the implementation of Interpol’s new tool (Silver Notice), promoted by Italy, to trace illicit assets, based on the “Follow the Money” investigative method, an intuition of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino.
