By the end of the year I want to set up a shop to sell my original artwork. I've heard that Etsy is a bit crap these days, and I'm currently considering using Folksy or Big Cartel. Would be very grateful if anyone has any insight into these options for selling art, or if anyone has had a good experience selling on any other platforms/services.

Now is a great time to have a hunt about on Folksy for some real handmade, UK based art and craft, ready to support them directly over the weekend.
Handmade and arty business folk in the UK. I once used Folksy and it was pleasant. I made the mistake of putting my effort into Etsy. I'm sick of the ongoing horrors there. Is Folksy good? Should I jump in on Folksy Plus? Is there anywhere else I might consider?
I do already have my own website with shop but it's quiet and I can see the benefits of community from somewhere like Folksy.
ZoLo 🏴🇳🇴🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️♾️Trying to get set up on Folsky and discovered that I can't add any of my social links. Giving me a fixed set of social options is dubious anyway, but making them exclusively the platforms I can't use just sucks.
Anyway, if you're on there and agree, please consider voting for my suggestion.
Silver Arrows@tsyum @AncTreat5358 that looks great! It's a lot like #Folksy. @amatelier was looking for something like this that accepts sellers in France (Folksy is UK sellers only). I can't see any country restrictions from what I've seen. AMA, do you want to look into it?

I'd like to give a shoutout to #Folksy, a #UK based alternative to #Etsy. Unlike Etsy, Folksy focuses on handmade crafts by individual artists and crafters.
I know sellers don't get the sales on Folksy that they do on Etsy and struggle to even get views, so if you'd like to support independent crafters in the UK, please check it out!
