My #MidweekMuseum recommendation this week is #Laufás folk and heritage #museum in #Iceland, not too far from #Akureyri in the north of the country. This is not your normal turf house, as it was a wealthy manor house and vicarage. There's a church there you can visit too, but the house is the main star, and is TARDIS-like in its size inside with corridors and rooms off everywhere in the grassy landscape.

For #FensterFreitag some #windows in the rear upper level of a turf house, #Laufás, in #Iceland. This was formerly a manor house, and was incredible inside, with rooms everywhere and off at all angles up stairs and around corners of the buildings semi-embedded into the Icelandic landscape. It is run as a folk #museum these days and well worth a visit if you're near #Akureyri.
