Blue Ash Montgomery by William Tyler, released on Lightning Records in 2014.

"Here's a beautifully crafted bit of fairly traditional folk guitar work, comfortably in the vein of American Primitive giants like Basho or Taussig, that manages to bring something new and inspired to the table. I only recently discovered Tyler's solo work (formerly of Silver Jews) while going through a guitar binge and this album immediately jumped out at me. The wildly ecstatic closer w/ Tim Barnes is worth the listen alone, so please dig in and hopefully you enjoy it as much as I have." - DD

The Seal of the Blue Lotus is the debut studio album of composer and guitarist Robbie Basho, released in 1965 by Takoma Records.

Skip Jansen, of Allmusic, favorably compared Basho's Eastern-influenced musical approach to that of John Fahey and noted the influence of Ravi Shankar. Jansen gave the album four out of five stars, concluding that it is "An essential document for folk guitar fans." - Wikipedia

Bert Jansch is the debut album by Scottish folk musician Bert Jansch. The album was recorded on a reel-to-reel tape recorder at engineer Bill Leader's house and sold to Transatlantic Records for £100. Transatlantic released the album, which went on to sell 150,000 copies. The album was included in Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.[5] It was voted number 649 in the third edition of Colin Larkin's All Time Top 1000 Albums (2000).

The record includes Jansch's best-known song, "Needle of Death", which was inspired by the death of his friend, folk singer Buck Polly. - Wikipedia

Indulged in a new session of Fingers in the Forest over the weekend. Playing with a tuning of my own invention over the course of two days. The second session ended with an unexpected visit from this mystery woman. I think I have a groupie but she's shy.

Music is a work in progress with the working title "Soiled Fingers and a Deer". You can hear the full recording on Soundcloud
