There’s a certain expected miserableness when listening to a record named Not to Disappear, and Daughter doesn’t disappoint. With songs that deal with one night stands, bad relationships and Alzheimer’s, it’s fortunate that the (rather good) lyrics are accompanied by some cinematic soundscapes with a nice sense of dynamics and melody.
